China says dialogue and cooperation is the only way to relieve tension on the Korean peninsula.
 
A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Jiang Yu, said the responsibility for maintaining peace in the region should be borne by all parties in the region. China, North Korea's closest ally, urged the United States and other countries to persuade North Korea to stop provocations.

Chinese President Hu Jintao said he was concerned about tensions between North and South Korea can not control.
In a telephone conversation with President Barack Obama he said all parties should refrain. While the Americans say, President Obama urged its partner, China to send a clear message to North Korea.
