Chinese President Hu Jintao said he was concerned about tensions between North and South Korea can not control.
In a telephone conversation with President Barack Obama he said all parties should refrain. While the Americans say, President Obama urged its partner, China to send a clear message to North Korea.
Telephone conversation between President Hu and it emphasizes how serious Obama Beijing and Washington to respond to recent tensions on the Korean peninsula this.
The attitude of the two leaders maybe is the most serious attitude amid uncertainties larger than the last few decades. But other things that can be read from the conversation that is the difference in perspective between the two countries.
Beijing has called for all parties to exercise restraint and reject the accused Pyongyang start of this tension, while Washington clearly wants Beijing to control its ally, North Korea.
It is clear there is a sense of frustration among U.S. officials that China's attitude, coupled with a number of questions about how much actual influence of China which still exist on North Korea today.
Foreign Ministers of the United States, South Korea and Japan will soon meet in Washington, without any representation from China. They were all careful to respond to the urge China to resume six-party dialogue on North Korea's nuclear ambitions.
The current situation illustrates the complexity of strategy and regional security picture at this time.
There is concern about the Korean peninsula, the recognition that China is one of the important players in this issue, but also the existence of unrest among the other key players about their relationship with Beijing and questions about China's ambitions in the region.
