Facebook Challenge Google

Google vs Facebook
To challenge the supremacy of Google on the Web by introducing a radically different approach to how people live, work, play and find it online.

When Google sends the selected search results based on algorithms that consider Web History users, Facebook offers a rich level of personalization based on its own will and recommendations from friends and users.

Mark Zuckerberg founded in his Harvard dorm room in six years ago and now has assets valued at $ 6.9 billion United States, call the recommendation as a "social graph".

"I think what we find is when you can use the product together with friends, family, and people you care for the more familiar", Zuckerberg said in an interview on the program "60 Minutes" on CBS.

"Social Graph is so vast," says social media analyst with Wedbush Securities, Lou Kerner, quoting a favorite phrase Zuckerberg. "That includes not only what you do and what you like, but also the people who you know, what they enjoy doing and companies associated with you".

For some observers the internet such as Kerner, to build parallel networks of interaction was established more than 500 million members.

"I called the internet the second, perhaps more valuable than the first because we are all connected through it", said Kerner told AFP.

"Social media is an increasingly important part in how you relate to people and it is a growing part of every marketing budget", he said.

"The idea is you do not want to fight, you want to hug up and use up because it is a medium where people can spend time", he said.

According to analyst firm comScore online, Google received more unique visitors each month than Facebook, but visitors to spend more time on the pages of what they spent on Google properties.

Since early 2010, Facebook has rolled out features that clash with Google via email an@facebook.com service that competes with Google's Gmail and "Question-up" which is a search engine that allows for members to ask questions and get answers from other members.

Facebook also has challenged Google in terms of employee salaries, forcing Google is headquartered in Mountain View, California, 10 percent salary increase across platforms recently.

"They become competitive in some respects, but that did not mean to grow at the expense of Google, or that may develop while Google has been shrinking", said Danny Sullivan, editor of SearchEngineLand.com technology blog.

"Google will not be lost", said Kerner. "In fact, Google, I think would benefit from social media. Because what it does is encourage people to spend more time online and when you spend more time online, then you end up looking more often", he said.

"The thing that really interfere with each other we are in screen space," said Sullivan. "To have a lot of people who buy the Google image ads (even) want to sell display ads more ".

Sullivan also said that "Google has tried to enter their social areas, but they were not so successful".

Zuckerberg, who was ordained earlier this month as "Person of the Year" by Time magazine, CBS acknowledged that "there are areas in which companies compete".

"But then, there are areas where we do not compete", he said.

Editor of Time magazine, Richard Stengel called Zuckerberg - the second youngest person who dipampang in an annual ritual on the cover of Time magazine - and social networking service, has changed the way people live their lives every day.

Growth up not too bad for Google who later became the target of anti-monopoly authorities in the United States and Europe.

"Some of them are very good for Google", Sullivan said. "Google is able to say", You know, we are facing tough competition out there. Google loses nothing that can be developed. "
