European Commission Investigating Google


Google Investigation
The European Commission launched an investigation into the Google search engine after a few other online companies complain that Google is abusing a dominant position. 

The agency said it would investigate whether the world's largest search engine company revealed rival in Google search results. 

The investigation was launched after the UK price comparison sites and search engines Foundem French legal issues ejustice.fr filed a formal complaint. Google said it will cooperate with the European Commission to "deal with various rioting".

Earlier this year the Texas state attorney general in the United States launched a similar investigation after a number of companies, including Foundem, filed a complaint. Complaints in both cases the investigation of companies that blame rival Google Google manipulates search results. 


"The European Commission decided to open an antitrust investigation of allegations that Google is abusing its dominant position in online search" ,said commission. "Since the beginning of google work hard doing the right thing for our users and for the industry," said a statement written by Google. 

"But there is always room for improvement, so we will cooperate with the Commission to address this problem".
