The protests and sporadic gunfire broke out in the Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince, shortly after the election commission announced the two names that advanced to the second round presidential election.
Two names are the candidate of the ruling party, Jude Celestin, and former first lady, Mirlande Manigat.
