The Arrival Of Mike Tyson Still Strived


Boxing Promoter King Sapta Oktohari admitted to still pursues the arrival of legendary Boxer Mike Tyson to Jakarta.

Tyson is expected to come to Jakarta to watch the fight holder WBA Super Featherweight Champions Chris John against his challenger, David "Cino" Jordan, in Jakarta, April 17, 2011.

"We continue to conduct negotiations with the management of Mike Tyson to come to Jakarta in the fight against Chris John Jordan," he told Antara.

If his schedule clashing with Mike Tyson, he said, surely there will be a further notice. "Obviously we remain at the initial commitment, i.e. bring Mike Tyson to Indonesia," he said.

To fight Chris John-David Jordan, Oktohari claims to have scored 3440 tickets. The Chairman of The Media and the promotion of the fight both boxers, Promoters Fathan Rangkuti, when contacted from Semarang, Monday, said that the number of tickets for as many as 2,800 pieces of which Tribune sold for Rp 200,000 per sheet.

Later, he said, for round table as much as 80 tables (each table consists of eight people) scored as many as 640 pieces and sold for Rp 3 million per sheet.

When asked which tickets were sold at target the fight both boxers, he says, the experience when deploying a fight between Chris John and Fernando Saucedo in Jakarta some time ago showed, 95 percent of tickets sold.

"To fight Chris John against the boxer from West Kalimantan (David Jordan), we are targeting a 90 to 95 percent of the tickets that we print could be sold," he said. Share Tweet
