Cholera Outbreak Due to Lack of Knowledge

Cholera Outbreak
Port Au Prince: Lack of knowledge about how to handle cases of epidemic spread of cholera is one of the biggest problems faced by the Haitian government. This condition is disclosed heads the General Hospital of Haiti, last weekend.

Hospital director of Haiti, Yves Lambert, as quoted by Xinhua said, that lack of knowledge cause patients who have early symptoms are reluctant to come to the hospital immediately, but if not diagnosed on time then the result will not be treated.

As a result of cholera outbreak in October, the General Hospital of Haiti receives approximately seven patients per day. But that number gradually increased to 60. In an effort to stop the spread of epidemic cholera, it is important to conduct hygienic measures, such as washing hands and drinking clean water. However, most residents have little access to clean water.
