Aretha Franklin has undergone surgery; she has released a statement saying that her surgery was “highly successful” and thanking everybody for their support.
What was the surgery for? It is not known, since the Queen of Soul didn’t mention it in the statement.
We know though, that Aretha had to cancel presentations through May due to health issues. This is what she said on the newest statement:
“God is still in control. I had superb doctors and nurses whom were blessed by all the prayers of the city and the country,”
Among the shows Aretha had to cancel due to her current health problems is Christmas show in Detroit, slated to take place in December 9th.
From here we wish to send Aretha Franklin the best wishes for her to recover from the surgical procedure.
