Shocker! Rep. Blake Farenthold, a Republican Congressman from Texas who was recently outed as the owner of the dirty domain name www.blow-me.org, is facing a lawsuit from a former employee who claims he created a hostile workplace filled with gender discrimination and inappropriate sexual comments. 

Lauren Greene, who worked for Farenthold from February 2013 through her termination in July 2014, cited a number of incidents of sexually-charged misconduct in a lawsuit filed with the U.S. District Court last week. 

Greene’s complaint paints a picture of a man-child who couldn’t keep his sexual comments and behavior to himself — so his staff was tasked with keeping him in line. She claimed that Farenthold “regularly drank to excess, and because of his tendency to flirt, the staffers who accompanied him to Capitol Hill functions would joke that they had to be on ‘red head patrol’ to keep him out of trouble.” When she observed that Farenthold seemed to be avoiding her during part of her employment period, his executive assistant, Emily Wilkes allegedly told her “that Farenthold had admitted to being attracted to Plaintiff and to having ‘sexual fantasies’ and ‘wet dreams’ about Plaintiff.” 

He even allegedly bragged to her about his invitation to a threesome with a lobbyist. (Which, aside from the grossness of the proposition, also raises some serious ethics questions.) Also: Yuck. Just yuck. 

Okay let's all just relax.

I mean he hasn't been convicted of any....I mean it's not like he looks cree....It's probably just a misund.....yeah I got nothing. The guy totally creeps me out. 

In fact the characteristics described by the plaintiff are EXACTLY what I have pictured about this guy from the second that I saw him back in 2010.

Boy I bet he regrets having his picture taken in those duckie pj's now.

Do the "scientific" haters not realize that it's considered practically illegal, immoral and fattening NOT to help control predators that decimate the food source these granola-crunching yahoos live on? And by food source, I mean grain fields.

Spare us the sanctimonious sighs and comments about the cruelty of slaughtering God’s creatures. She’s doing everyone a very small favor and somebody will probably get a meal out of the deal. 

For one thing as I pointed out in an earlier post, Palin did not kill that "wild boar."

Most likely the Motor City Mammal Massacring Maniac did it for her.

And the other thing is that this is NOT a wild boar. It is a pet from Nugent's SpiritWild Ranch, where he allows city folk to come and play act as great white hunters.

So the animal that was killed, was a pet that was killed for her, so that she could pose for a picture, to fool the paint chip eaters.

And look it worked!

You know another little tidbit that my source revealed to me is that as far as she knew, and she is positioned to know quite a lot, Sarah Palin has never shot and killed ANYTHING.

She also hated going fishing with Todd, but only did it early in their marriage because he insisted. She then stopped altogether later in the marriage, only returning in 2009 for a day of photo-ops to feed to the press.

Don;t forget, EVERYTHING about Sarah Palin is phony. And I do mean EVERYTHING!

An Arlington woman faces a charge of capital murder Wednesday after two people were discovered dead in her home, police said. 

Officials said they were treating the slayings as a domestic homicide. Veronica Dunnachie, 35, is being held in the Arlington City Jail, said Sgt. Jeffrey Houston, a police spokesman. Bail had not yet been set. 

The victims had not been identified and the cause of death had not been released.

Since this article the bodies were identified as her estranged husband Russ Dunnachie and his adult daughter.

After the slayings the suspect drove herself to Millwood Hospital, a mental health facility, where she was taken into custody. She was uninjured.

Separations, divorces,  child custody battles, happen everyday in this country. Usually there are harsh words, recriminations, and lawyer fees.

But when you see the world as a dangerous place, and carry a gun on your person for protection, a verbal confrontation can escalate into something far more dangerous than simply hurtful words.

Despite what the NRA might want all of us to believe, in this case at least the presence of a gun is directly responsible for the taking of life, not the protection of life.

The equation is simple; no gun = no death.

So my mom literally jumps off a snowmachine while we’re all in the new powder in our backyard the other night, she hops on a flight to Texas for season 2 of her Sportsman Channel show, “Amazing America with Sarah Palin.” 

First thing off the plane, she bags a big fat wild Texan hog! I love what she gets to do to show you how amazing America really is! She’s out hunting by again today with a superstar, and I’ll let you know if she’s successful.

Yeah that is almost unbelievable. REALLY unbelievable in fact. 

Especially considering how her LAST attempt to prove her hunting bona fides went down.

Gee I wonder who cocked her rifle for her this time?

I just feel badly for the animals that are hand raised on these farms and then gunned down by tourists or reality show stars desperate to prove their "hunting" prowess.


 

Well it's official, Sarah Palin is finally back to work standing in front of a green screen and pretending to know about hunting and the outdoors.


Apparently Charissa Thompson, a reporter from EXTRA, is tweeting about going "hunting" with Sarah Palin as a promotion for the second season of Amazing America.
Welcome for what exactly?
Gee riding a horse just like her idol Ronald Reagan. I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

Ten bucks says there will be no footage of her horse running or galloping, and that in every scene it will only be walking slowly along with a pack of handlers nearby in case it gets spooked.

Personally I am dying to see how they film her fake hunting scenes.

Hmm, I wonder if they will use CGI this season?


 

Texas school board member posts image to Facebook of KKK member labeled "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas." Claims not to be racist. Ooookay.

 A Texas school board member is facing disciplinary action over his racist Facebook post. 

Chris Harris, an elected member of the Hooks Independent School Board, posted a viral image of a Ku Klux Klan member with the caption, “I’m dreaming of a white Christmas.” 

He apologized for the post after receiving negative feedback in the comments, reported KTAL-TV. 

Harris said he realized the post was inappropriate and offensive, but he insisted he was not racist. 

His Facebook profile no longer appears to be active, and he declined requests for additional comment.

Okay look I am trying to give this guy the benefit of the doubt, but seriously, if you are not a racist then what in the hell would possess you to post this image?

And if he thought his Facebook friends would find it funny, then doesn't that sort of mean that his friends are probably racist too?

Oh I know, he has one black friend.

They ALWAYS have one black friend.

So my question is, does your black friend know you're racist?


 

New Texas textbooks teach that the Constitution is based on the teachings of the biblical Moses. And that my friends is how religion hijacks public education.

Christian conservatives win, children lose: Texas textbooks will teach public school students that the Founding Fathers based the Constitution on the Bible, and the American system of democracy was inspired by Moses. 

On Friday the Republican-controlled Texas State Board of Education voted along party lines 10-5 to approve the biased and inaccurate textbooks. The vote signals a victory for Christian conservatives in Texas, and a disappointing defeat for historical accuracy and the education of innocent children. 

The textbooks were written to align with instructional standards that the Board of Education approved back in 2010 with the explicit intention of forcing social studies teaching to adhere to a conservative Christian agenda. The standards require teachers to emphasize America’s so called “Christian heritage.” 

In essence, Christian conservatives in Texas have successfully forced a false historical narrative into public school textbooks that portray Moses as an influence on the Constitution and the Old Testament as the root of democracy.

This was a statement released by the Texas Freedom Network, a watchdog group that focuses on fighting against the Religious Right:  

Texas Freedom Network President Kathy Miller had the following statement on today’s State Board of Education vote to adopt new social studies textbooks for Texas public schools. “What we saw today shows very clearly that the process the State Board of Education uses to adopt textbooks is a sham,” Miller said. “This board adopted textbooks with numerous late changes that the public had little opportunity to review and comment on and that even board members themselves admitted they had not read. They can’t honestly say they know what’s in these textbooks, which could be in classrooms for a decade.” Miller was critical of board Republicans for rejecting a common-sense proposal by their Democratic colleagues to delay adoption of the textbooks until Dec. 1 so that late changes could be vetted for accuracy. 

The Texas Education Agency posted scores of pages of publisher comments and textbook revisions after the last public hearing on Tuesday. Miller said scholars did not have an opportunity to review and comment on the numerous changes publishers have submitted since the last public hearing on Tuesday. Some of those changes appeared to have been negotiated with state board members behind closed doors. 

During a months-long process, publishers made a number of improvements to their textbooks. Those improvements included removing inaccurate information promoting climate change denialism; deleting offensive cartoons comparing beneficiaries of affirmative action to space aliens; making clearer that slavery was the primary cause of the Civil War; and revising passages that had promoted unfair negative stereotypes of Muslims. Scholars and the general public had ample opportunity to review and comment on those revisions. However, the new textbooks also include passages that suggest Moses influenced the writing of the Constitution and that the roots of democracy can be found in the Old Testament. Scholars from across the country have said such claims are inaccurate and mislead students about the historical record.

The Founding Fathers were scrupulous in keeping religion out of our Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and in one fell swoop these right wing revisionists have undone much of their hard work.

Great job Texas!


 

Rick Perry legal team tries to have case thrown out because special prosecutor "did not properly take his oath." Seriously, that's all they've got?

A state district judge refused to throw out the criminal charges against Gov. Rick Perry, ruling Tuesday that special prosecutor Michael McCrum had been properly appointed to the case. 

Perry’s legal team argued that the charges must be voided because special prosecutor Michael McCrum did not properly take his oath of office when he began working on the governor’s case, negating every act performed over the past 15 months — including the indictment accusing Perry of abusing the powers of his office. 

Senior District Judge Bert Richardson disagreed. 

“This court concludes that Mr. McCrum’s authority was not voided by the procedural irregularities in how and when the oath of office … was administered,” Richardson’s order said. 

What’s more, Richardson ruled, Perry’s lawyers waited too long to raise their objections to the way McCrum was sworn in more than a year ago.

There are those, on both sides of the aisle, who have suggested that this case against Perry is weak and  has no teeth. However if Perry's legal team is already scraping the bottom of the barrel in an attempt to discredit the prosecutor bringing the case to trial, that seems to indicate a lack of confidence in their ability to beat this thing on the evidence.

And as Jeffrey Toobin pointed out earlier this year, the evidence is pretty damning:  

What Perry did was obvious. The Governor was using his leverage to jam a political adversary—not exactly novel behavior in Texas, or most other states. But Democrats succeeded in winning the appointment of a special prosecutor, Michael McCrum, to investigate Perry’s behavior, and on Friday McCrum brought the hammer down. The threat to veto the money for the D.A. amounted to, according to the prosecutor, two different kinds of felonies: a “misuse” of government property, and a corrupt attempt to influence a public official in “a specific exercise of his official power or a specific performance of his official duty” or “to violate the public servants known legal duty.” (In the charmingly archaic view of Texas statutes, every public official is a “him.”)

No if this case ends the way many think it might end, I don't think the sentencing pictures will be quite as flattering to "Governor Good Hair" as his mugshot was.



 

With the media heat officially turned to "Who gives a shit?" Sarah Palin is now back to pimping Teabagger candidates full time.

Well unlike Rob Maness at least Abbott has a better than even chance of winning his race. In fact right now he is leading Wendy Davis by over 15 points.

You're just breaking my heart Texas, you really are.

You know you can tell a lot about a candidate by the friends he keeps. Besides Palin Abbott has been cozying up to a certain poopy pants pedophile (Warning link takes you to WND): 

I already got my invitation to Greg Abbott’s victory party for the evening of Nov. 4 as we celebrate his landslide victory over Wendy Davis as the new and well-deserved governor of the Great Republic of Texas. 

This Texas race is a microcosm of elections across the country. Thank God there are still way more Texans that stand in defiance of the lying, scamming, America-hating, Texas-hating scammers and scoundrels that infest and steer the Wendy Davis campaign of deception. 

Oh yeah, he's a gem. 

But come on, if an endorsement from Sarah Palin AND Ted Nugent is not enough to sink your campaign, what does that say about your state?

I am beginning to wonder if Texas is a lost cause for liberals, despite the demographic shifts.
