My colleague Sam Grobart has posted a video explaining what cables you need for your TV. Now I am going to help you save some money on them.

As Sam mentions, you don’t need to buy the most expensive cables to get a clear picture or sound (or for that matter, a computer connection).

Twice last week, installation pros mentioned to me my own favorite source for cables, a company called MonoPrice. It sells good cables cheaply, and offers some excellent information, like a chart that helps you decide which cables you want to use.
